Message: Family was in town for a volleyball tournament.. Stopped in on Saturday morning at 8am ish.. We got a couple cinnamon twists, apple fritter, glazed, and cinnamon sugar.. Very good, dense doughnuts. Not oversweet. I would eat these every day.. Coffee was Bunn style drip coffee. Nice and strong to get you going.. The staff was hopping as it was a busy Saturday morning. Polite and quick.. Overall a good experience and we will be coming here every time we make it to Pierre.

Message: I understand that people who grow up and live somewhere all their lives have a different view of businesses than people who are new to an area. I have heard fantastic things about The Donut Shop for the past few months so of course going is something that I have looked forward to. It definitely has a hometown business feel to it. which is nice. I picked put 5 pastries to try. They are the 5 that are my go-to when getting a sense of how I feel about a place like this. There was only one that I was not disappointed with. the basic glazed donut. The others were all the same. heavy, flavorless, not worth finishing. My husband loved everything he tried. I know that we will go back from time to time. but based on my experience I will only be getting a basic glazed donut.

Message: By far the best donuts around! Make sure you get there early as they run out quickly some days! Fresh daily baked donuts! The BEST are the buttercream filled donut holes and donut cakes!
